OK to mount laptop at an angle?

I dock my laptop to a monitor/mouse/keyboard and leave it on my desk. To free up desk space I'm considering mounting it to the side of the desk. The desk sides are at a slight outwards angle. Is it OK to have the laptop running when mounted at an angle? It's a solid state drive but wondering if running fans at that angle…

Most laptop stands are at an angle. I assume therefore it has minimal impact of fan life.

Good point! Never used a laptop stand, hadn't thought that they were at an angle.
