yes they were phones towards the upper end of Xiaomi's range.

on the other hand I gave a lower-end Xiaomi A2 lite to my mum. very good phone overall for her uses but the camera (which she doesn't really use) was poor. Which I knew in advance but camera didn't matter in this case.
