I have the (new) Gold and I think it's fantastic. They seem to be going for about €75 now, Platinum is still in and around the €150 mark. I don't know if nearly twice the price would be worth it, but the Gold is the best headset I've ever had (but I only have an old Turtle Beach XP510's to compare, which were really good).
