Looking for some help - DAB is not working on my kitchen radio. I'm in Maynooth. It's the only DAB radio I have so I can't check if it's faulty. Can anyone tell me if their DAB signal is ok in this general area?
FM reception here can be hissy, so my wife is big fan of DAB.

Fine down the road in Leixlip, but it depends on position of radio. The RTE DAB stations are scheduled to close (at some point). May be better off with a smart speaker or Internet radio if interested in extra listening choices.

Half the town has abysmal reception of everything off Three Rock, including FM indoors.

How does it compare with Kippure? There is a DAB relay from Kippure also, but it won't have the Dublin regional stations (FM104 etc),

    88.5 - RTE R1 (Three Rock)
    89.1 - RTE R1 (Kippure)

RTE DAB is SFN, you receive signal from all transmitters you can see. The issue in Maynooth is that you get weaker signals from Kippure and both weak and late signals from Clermont Carn and it creates a mush.

The Dublin DAB doesn't have the local stations either.

We found a solution to this ‘problem’. We purchased a Google Smart Speaker. All local, national and international stations now working perfectly without any hissing. Also Spotify, etc.
