Was sent a very interesting article by a friend today.
Have skimmed the article and pinned the paper for reading later tonight.

It is particularly appropriate I think to share it to this particular sub-forum.

    https://phys.org/news/2020-06-conspiracy-theories-emergeand-storylines-fall.html

This particular paper is based around pizzagate and its growth, proliferation and the subsequent layering and connecting with other CT's.

The AI tangent is interesting but quite honestly the mind-maps are enough for any rational person espousing this particular CT or ones related to it, to at least question their certainty.

I didnt see any reference to 9/11 in there

    heres another one from UCLA

A study conducted at UCLA found that the “crazy cat lady” stereotype may be more fiction than fact.

The results found there is no substantial difference in self-reported symptoms of depression and anxiety between people who own cats, dogs or no pets, and concluded there is no evidence to support the “crazy cat lady” stereotype.

    https://dailybruin.com/2019/09/20/crazy-cat-lady-cliche-is-misleading-according-to-new-study-by-ucla-researchers

'Crazy cat ladies' are not a thing, study finds

    https://edition.cnn.com/2019/08/21/health/crazy-cat-lady-study-scli-intl/index.html

Some poor parents probably working the rounds of the clock to send their budding Einstiens here
    Wonder what the fees are

How do that oul saying go
Fools and their money soon part

If that's all you have to contribute don't post in this thread again.

Epstein and his madams pimped out adolescent girls to rich and powerful people for sex. American and World politicians famous people,, even a prince in England is linked with this scandal. While the pizzagate evidence maybe shaky, the reality is the overall speculation is not wrong. Some researchers fail to recognise there is people like this in the world running the world abusing kids and some people in the media, soften the blows for their own agenda. In the early 2000s, if you said this you be labelled a nutcase, but here we are today.

Shaky? It's not shaky, it's utter gibberish, amplified by social media bots and, some perhaps unwitting, conspiracy theorists.

You mean the early 2000s when stories of mass child abuse cases and cover ups had Come out it in Ireland.
The recent conspiracy fiction around child abuse has nothing to do with uncovering truth, but an attempt to demonise anyone who opposes the mango saviour (pbuh).

It is not in reality, this is the main theme of the Pizzagate claim
America leaders and influential individuals hide profound and disturbing secrets about their sexual past.
They engage in raping of minor children.
With Epstein we know some kids involved here are aged between 12 and 14 and many names are in Epstein black.
Both, Democratic and Republican leaders and famous people.

This is the problem. Online a story was told, a Pizzaplace was one of the places the raping of kids occurred. So one upset, mad guy turned up with a gun later to see what was happening there, stop it and according to the media he turned up nothing..
If anything,at all truly was going on there previously in a room? Well then, that place was cleared out well before that man showed up waving a gun.

Media cover up of the Epstein affair says lot about them. We know they're not really investigating all the claims made by Epstein victims and I listen to their stories on independent channels. How many of the official media news dared to speak about the their connections to Israel? Media only explains the parts the corporate masters instruct them to speak about.

To be fair I don’t know why pizzagate theorists didn’t double down on a secret basement. Haven’t they seen Breaking Bad? I waited years for the hype to wither and die and I have to say it’s a riveting show. A large section eventually swirls around a covertly dug out basement meth lab hidden under a legitimate business, the construction of which is explored in Better Call Saul

this is the main theme of the Pizzagate claim

Pizzagate is an example of how certain people will accept the most extreme notions with the most flimsy evidence... so long as it somehow corresponds with their world view

Even if they don't accept the Pizzagate theory itself, some will try to morph and rationalise it into something more "believable". Polishing a turd basically.

We now accept these predators exist not in the shadows but in plain sight. Epstein friends and accomplices are rich and powerful people and they decide things for the world. Many have never got caught here yet. Here Epstein in this case did most of his evil deeds in the many homes he kept.

Pizzagate from my reading of it has a complementary overtone to the Qanon stuff where people view cryptic information online and then think it means something. They concluded here there was an underground network of people coming to Comet Pizza to mess around with children?

Doesn't make sense Rich and famous would be hold up in a Pizza place to mess around with kids. Hardly the most secure area and one can easily be spotted arriving there since its open place for all people to come dance there and eat.

The allegations made here online are still open to be discussed. Bill Clinton not off the hook yet. He clearly pertook in the sex ring Epstein had operated for decades. My question is what did Hilary know? Did she know her husband was spending time with him? Epstein has a painting of Bill Clinton in a blue dress and red heels in his home ( whats the deal there ?)

Literally what you do with 90% of conspiracy theories.

We now accept these predators exist

They've always existed, from all backgrounds. Higher profile people tend to catch more of a spotlight, e.g. Brendan Smyth, Gary Glitter, Jimmy Saville, etc

Conspiracy theorists seem overly obsessed that many people in power are paedophiles, any visit to a conspiracy forum demonstrates this. They suspect almost everyone and anyone - so when someone famous or in power does turn out to be a predator of some sort, many conspiracy theorists seem to collectively believe a) they "predicted" it and b) this person is always part of some larger and more encompassing ring.

It's another example of an extreme belief that feeds off smaller truths and an unhealthy dose of selection bias

Epstein case is a prime example there was laws for the Rich and another law for the poor. This of course demonstrates the real world. Epstein got a slap on the wrist for being involved with multiple school children sexually in Florida. If Epstein was a poor man, there be no sweet heart deal . Conspiracy theorists just see the differences in how the law handles cases when your wealthy. Of course people who are well known are going to be in the headlines more if they are involved in criminality. If a business/leader raping children do your really want that man making decisions how others should live their lifes?

Not really, anyone with a brain knows the world isn't fair. Many "conspiracy theorists" systemically see conspiracies or "greater" conspiracies in everything due to their faulty thinking. They don't have any special "insight", quite the opposite they are just individuals who distort the truth (e.g. Epstein) to fit spurious world views and vague conspiracies (e.g. all people in power are corrupt and work together towards nefarious goals)
