Have a bmw 2012. My phone a Galaxy 8 works ok on bluetooth in car for phone calls. But I can't get spotify to play through car audio from my phone. I've been through the obvious stuff to check and cant find a reason. Any advice anyone??

Some of the older Bluetooth systems used two separate modules, one for phone stuff & one for music. Some of them had Bluetooth but only for the phone stuff. Does your Bluetooth system allow you to play music through it from any other source than Spotify?

Not 100% but prob not. I'll have a look tomorrow. If it's a case of bluetooth only works with phone is it easy to get it to work with spotify ....?..
    Thanks for replying

If the Bluetooth is just for the phone stuff you’ll probably have to either upgrade the audio system in the car or add something like a Parrot kit to it to play music through. Changing up the cd/tuner for something modern would be my choice, best to ask your local in-car specialist for what options are open to you.

You might have to get an upgrade to your onboard computer, either that or use an Aux cable. I used this crowd before for the upgrade
