How to reapply for PP that was only granted for a period

    Hi,

All the County Council planning departments appear to be overloaded so I want to see if I am going the right way about something.

We were granted planning permission in March 2017 for 3 years for a preschool after a change of use. We met all the guidelines including FSC and DAC etc... all good.

That PP has now expired but with Covid-19 we have been stopped dead in our tracks. So I want to get some basic questions answered.

    1. Am I applying for planning permission again?
    2. Is the 3 year restriction something I am likely to encounter again?
    3. I have to cough €4k services last time around am I likely to see this charge again?
    4. If I change the opening hours by 1 more additional hour is this likely to make a significant difference to my application?
    5. I can't see how / why I would need an architect to do this for me. Is this correct?
    6. Given the delay would this prevent me opening in September (cause the PP department are not responding to any mails or phone calls)?

    Thanks,

Mr. Happy (some of the time)

You can apply for planning for the permanent use as a pre school or again for a set period.
Why was the original restricted to 3 years?

The fire cert and dac should have no expiry so once you sort your planning, your good to continue the use.
It’s also worth noting that all statutory time periods have been extended by circa 56 days due to COVID so this should add 56 days onto the 3 year period you were originally granted.
