RTE 1, Lyric and Newstalk off air since 10am in Limk City since 10am today. Seems to be a regular occurrence now. What's wrong with the service? I've messaged the stations and awaiting a response. Having to re-tune every time there's a breakdown is getting to be the norm here in Limerick now.

Thanks Peter. That Woodcock Hill transmitter is a bit of a bogey alright. Been on and off now for years. Pity they can't just replace it once and for all. It gives an awful lot of trouble.

They seem like scheduled outages, so maybe they are implementing upgrades?

They're going on for years now, unannounced interruptions on RTE 1 (89.4 mhz)
varying in duration from minutes to hours. Very annoying if you're in the middle of an interesting programme when it suddenly goes silent. By the time you get to retune or go to listen online, whatever you're listening to is missed.

There's seldom an announcement in advance.
