For the first time last year, I had problems with drying off a few of my texel ewes. I put them in a field which had been grazed tight and I checked them twice over a two week period, but I still had trouble with mastitis. Any advice as I will be taking lambs of ewes in about two weeks?

Garlic locks are supposed to help in the prevention. Not sure if it's true or not

We don't use them. Asked a fella in the co-op would the prevent maggots, he said they were to prevent mastitis
