Has anybody ever (as teacher nominee on BOM) been on an interview panel to appoint a Principal? Is it nearly always the outgoing Principal & Chair rep the BOM?

I would have thought it would be an independent panel ie a representative from the type of school e.g. Ceist, Christian brothers etc. If an ETB school, rep for CEO, county councillor etc. If an amalgamation both. The chairperson is also on that panel. Retired principals from other schools.
