hi all, siro is now available at my house i have options of Sky, Vodafone, Digiweb and Airwire.

    Questions:

    1) recommendation on best service
    2) any of above restrict to use provided router or can use my own?
    3) I have a new build and phone service box outside can the installer use that box vs drilling a new hole? or they not allowed do that?Basically outside my house have 4 service boxes, Virgin, Phone, ESB and gas.

For for me, I find Digiweb very good. A decent Fritz!Box router too and their Customer Service is good. Don't know if they're the best, but certainly a reliable operator. We have Vodafone (Siro) at work and whilst we had a lot of problems sorting out telephone issues, the broadband service has been reliable. Their Gigabox modem doesn't allow changing the Subnet Mask which was an issue with bridging to a seperate Firewall, but it was sorted in a roundabout way.

I can't answer Q2, but for Q3, when Actavo came out to install SIRO at my home they would not go near the phone services box, as I had mentioned they could use it since it was directly below the ESB meter box. They said they weren't allowed to go near it and drilled their own hole. It is a tidy job though, with an external grey box in front of where they drill through. ONT on the other side of the wall.
