Who is your favourite person?

Ideally someone who's still alive, but it doesn't have to be.

Your favourite person should be anyone you see as a role model, they don't have to be famous. What about someone in your family, or your circle of friends?

My favourite person is my older brother, I know as a fact that he doesn't read boards, so I can tell you this discreetly. He has some kind of Midas touch on life, nearly everything he attempts works out well, or of it doesn't, he has such good humour that he can just laugh it off. He can tell jokes and play the piano and he knows everything about books. Obviously, I'd never acknowledge this to his face but I think he's the ideal person, if that exists.

    Who is your favourite person?

Very good. I suppose we can include ourselves, but others will draw their own conclusions, Timberr...

Unfortunately he's twenty four years dead, but it would be Carl Sagan. Everything about him is/always was an inspiration to me. His immense intellect, methods of teaching with his books and the phenomenal Cosmos series, humanism, calm demeanour and biting humour. An absolute hero of mine.

Fairy interesting man, but whenever I hear his name, I have some unfortunate association with UFOs and star-signs, bizarre, things like that. Obviously he was gifted, but pretty odd, too,

He was a great believer in life on other worlds quite simply because of the trillions of stars in the universe, but knew that the likelihood of ever making contact with them, either by radio or UFO was nothing short of impossible because of the vastness of space. Star signs would be a bit of an odd one to associate him with as he had no time for astrology, and rightly so as it's utter nonsense.
