Nvidia Shield(2017) / Harmony Hub issue

Recently when changing between hdmi inputs when streaming on XCTV app on Nvidia Shield the app kicks out of the stream before switching to the other hdmi ext. Recently when changing between hdmi inputs when streaming on XCTV app on Nvidia Shield the app kicks out of the stream before switching to the other hdmi ext. Its like the Shield sees the app as a phone having the power pressed.
Its not happening on Firestick 4k when changing hdmi's on the same XCTV app so I think its a Shield issue.
I say this because its not happening on the Firestick 4k when the same app stays playing when changing hdmi. Also the actual Samsung tv remote is able to change hdmi without it happening from the Shields Hdmi.
