Cyclist and motorist die in Limerick collision

Two people have died following a road crash in Limerick.

Gardaí say a car and a cyclist were involved in a collision on Hyde Road in Roxboro at about 12.30am.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, and the driver of the car, who gardaí said was a youth, both died

and unfortunately that poor kid in Carlow has died from injuries sustained in a collision with an SUV:

A 10-year-old boy who was critically injured when his bicycle was in collision with a jeep and horsebox in Co. Carlow has passed away.

Named locally as Adam Lyons, 10, from just outside Borris, Co Carlow, he is understood to have been cycling with two other friends when he was hit by a jeep and horse-box in the Ballymartin area on the Borris to Fenagh road at around 1.30pm

What a horrible thing to happen I have this feeling there have been so many accidents involving cyclists lately
