Upgrading an old gaming PC.

I want to give my brother-in-laws son my old gaming PC. It just needs a GPU and Power supply. I've been out of the loop so, I don't knows whats the best budget GPU at the moment and PSU. 300 euros is the budget. The €300 needs to include the power supply as well.

What CPU is it, and what games does he intend playing? Eg if it's an old i5 2nd/3rd gen, there is really not much point dumping a €250 GPU in there.

It's sandy 2500k. I dont know what games he wants to play. Steam games most likly. He's only 9

Well if he's 9, should be grand, I doubt he's playing anything more than Minecraft or Fortnite, so the 2500K will still hold up.

I'd say that card will be fine. Could get away honestly with a GTX1650 for £130, with those games in mind, and considering the fairly ancient 2500K.

What about a PSU? Their budget is max 400 euros, but I'm allowing 300 because they need a monitor too. Up to now they've been looking on the likes of Advents ie for a used gaming PC set up.
