Replacing deck lights

Hi folks, we bought a house last year - it has a big deck out the back that I’m currently rejuvenating, the only issue is the deck lights. There are old leds installed on a chain that have all blown, a lot of the screws for the decking are worn so taking up planks without damaging them will be quite difficult. Do I have to replace the whole set or is it possible to cut the cables to the sealed individual spotlights and attach it to new ones?

You'll get it very hard to keep your joints water proof. Stick up a few photos and we may be able to advise on cable routing.
