Updating ABM & Oprnvix

    Hi,

I'm trying to see if my system is up to date. I've been unable to access the football on Pick, but it has been marked as locked. One night I have been told the coverage switched to Sky 1, on other occassions it was just locked for no obvious reason.

Hence, I want to check if my system is up to date.

I have a Mutant HD51 running Openvix. I have a dual tuner taking in UK Freesat and Saorsat which are combined into a single EPG using ABM.

I've noticed there are a few kinks in the system (scrolling using the ch up/down keys is not always sequential - seems to go around a mini loop) that I would like to iron out.

I've updated the OpenVix image to the latest.

Pick TV at channel 159 (due to the ABM) is not accessible and nor is it in HD.
How do I find the channel info related to Pick within the myriad of E2 files and folders?

Also, if anyone knows why the channel up/down is not working correctly please let me know.

    Thanks.

What source are you using for ABM?

    Hi
    I have openvix latest.

Here are a few tips, Pick is part of sky but dont put sky in your abm or you will get all the encrypted channels. For a one off channel its best to scan it in yourself. So do this.
menu, setup, tuners&scanning, arrow doiwn to signal filnder, press ok, now arrow down to tune, and use right arrow to get user defined. You are now going to enter

    12363 V 27500
    FEC 2/3
    S2 8PSk

Using the remote to enter frequency, arrows to change polarity, remote for symbol, remote for system.

So system becomes dvb-s2 and a bigger screen opens, enter freq, change polar, then symbol, inversion should show auto, fec use arrows, now there is another page so arrow down, change modulation to 8psk, use arrows, roll off is auto, pilot is auto. Now press green button. A few channels will appear, select pick. This is now in last scanned so you can move to your bouquet.

Channel up down has a few options, when on blank screen it will do channel up and own, but when in a bouquet it jumps, use arrow up/down instead.

Can you expand on what you mean here?

I'll see if I can manually add it. I use sky and saorsat bouquets and combine them into an epg to replicate the sky channel numbering here in ni with access to the rte channels. Older users prefer it that way.
