Hi guys, we are looking to build an extension on our 2 bed bungalow. We are unsure of where to start to be honest. Do we need to contact an architecture first to do drawings and then get a price from an engineer before approaching the bank? Or can we contact an engineer first to give a rough price? Also how much (ballpark) would an extension cost? We are looking at a small kitchen living area, 1more bedroom with an ensuite and a utility. Thank you in advance

Get a local architect to meet you on site for an hour.
Discuss budget and your design likes.

They can quote for provision of design services including planning if required.
They can advise of the following steps.
