Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    NY Times threatening to doxx one of the good guys on the Internet, a well known blogger who goes my the name Scott Alexander, I believe its his first and middle name. He is a psychiatrist by profession so wants to keep some distance from the real world in his blog. The NY Times were doing an article on him which was going to be positive but according to them they have to run his real name because its "the rules".

    Hopefully sense will prevail, Scott has deleted his blog which is a loss but if they go ahead with this it will affect his patients possibly.
