my wife had an old BOI account and needs 6 months statements to apply for disability allowance. Call centre is not giving her any help and she cant contact bank directly. She is now living down the country so travel to her branch in dublin not an option. How can she contact her branch direct or what are her options

Hi Dennyire, thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie.

Your wife would certainly be able to order 6 months statements for her account. If this account is not set up for 365 Online then it would be necessary to order them through our Customer Service Desk directly.

If your wife has been advised by a Customer Service Advisor that she’ll need to visit the branch then she’d certainly be able to visit her local branch with photo ID, it wouldn’t necessarily need to be the account holding branch. An Advisor in your local branch would be more than happy to help.

I hope that this information helps. If you’ve any further queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us here, we’ll certainly do our best to help.

    Thanks, Eve
