Was eating a bag of these and the taste was way off, so bitter. I checked the packet to see if they were out of date or something and on the top of the bag I noticed a message saying bold new recipe, extra dash of cider vinegar. Wtf! Why mess with perfection. This flavour of keoghs is so popular it’s almost always out of stock in the supermarket, and beside it are the lesser flavours like sweet chilli. Why o why would they do this. Mess with the flavours no one likes by all means but why this one!?

Learn the difference between bitter and sour.

Keoghs attempt at crisp making always tasted way off to me

I hate when companies does this. A change that nobody asked for. And it's almost always a cost cutting exercise, wrapped up in "NEW AND IMPROVED"

It's like when they removed the coca from Coca Cola.
Just doesn't taste the same now.

You must be pretty old to remember how Coca Cola tasted pre-1929?

I’m intrigued as to why the OP has removed the thread title and opening post?

I’m pleased that it has been quoted in the first reply for posterity.

The Keogh cartel must have paid him a visit.

Maybe he added extra salt to balance the flavours out a bit.
