Loud Fan/Overheating - Lenovo 330s

I have a Lenovo 330s 14in i3. It's 1.5yrs old. Within some months, the fan was REALLY loud. It looks to be a common issue on these laptops and some tweaks can be done to help it - one thing I tried was putting max processor performance down to 97%. This actually worked. Seldom had loud fan noises.

Then, 3 months ago, I sent my laptop to Lenovo to replace my battery with a new one. When I got it back, I reinstalled my OS as I wanted to clear it up. I reapplied the fan "fix" however it's now as noisy as ever, and now it overheats way more than before. I cleaned the fan but no joy, it's still terrible.

Any ideas or tips on how to fix this, or help reduce fan noise/overheating?
