So it arrived and I've been using it for a couple of days. First off, amazing battery life, I don't have t worry at all about it running out, I used it for 2 days and it went from 100 to 39% and thats with blutooth on and normal use.(don't play games or watch netflix etc). It also only took about an hour to charge it back up using the supplied fast charger.
It doesn't have wireless charging, which I thought would be a pain, but with fast charge and long battery life it doesn't matter.
Its dual sim and I've a 256 card in it.
Finger print sensor is on the back, which I'm used to so happy with that.
Camera is a lot more than I need with 4 lenses and a flash on the back (64megapixels) and the front one is 32MP
Its heavier than my S8plus and not as sleek. It has a plastic back and sides with gorrila glass3 on the front. - I actually like this having dropped ny all glass s8plus a few times and smashing it.
Another plus is it only has 3 buttons on it on the same side, vol up and down and power. The s8 has a button on the left hand side that just gets in the way.

All in all I'm happy with it

Sounds good. How do you find it size wise?

I know smartphones are getting bigger and bigger these days. I'm looking for a phone for my wife; a phone like this ticks all the boxes but my only concern is that it would be too big?

I'm used to big phones and couldn't use a small one anymore. It would be uncomfortable in your front trouser pocket but fine in the rear.
It's big, but not excessively so. In fact once you get used to it you'll be hard pressed going back to a smaller one.
One mildly annoying thing is the fact it's got a cut out for the front camera, so there's a notch top middle of screen.
Just looking at the battery on it now and it's at 94% and I've been using it since 6.00am

I had it ordered and then cancelled, seen there is no nfc on it. Can you confirm this? I use Google pay on my phone an awful lot so I couldn't imagine going back to a phone without this option.

The specs say it does, but I'll confirm later with an actual purchase

    NFC Yes (market/region dependent): SM-M315F/DSN

Can confirm that nfc works. Just install google pay, link your card, wake the phone up and tap.
No issue whatsoever and I don't use it ordinarily.
