    Hi

I have an older indoor boiler, grant slimline, has been tripping at the fusebox when turned on, tested it and noticed the spark coming out of the timeclock on the boiler control panel, there's also a tiny bit of water under the boiler, and boiler is pretty rusty. Wonder is this timeclock expensive to replace, or worth it considering condition of boiler? Got it serviced last year and guy said nowt about condition. Reliable enough boiler just concerned about the bit of water at bottom under tray and lots of rust too. Just looking for opinions before deciding to fix or replace

    Regards

Fitting a new timer wouldn't cost the too much but it could be the circulating pump either that is causing the problem as these are also wired sometimes into the timer.
If the condition of the boiler has deteriorate over the past few years and is 15 to 20 years old its possibly coming to the end of its life too.

Yea had the pump switched off on control panel and was still tripping, noticed spark coming out of time clock then on next attempt, yea bit of water under boiler, so not a good sign, it's probably 15 years old. Might get a plumber to check. Thanks
