Projector from the US

I have bought a projector. Wanted a particular one that I saw had great reviews and the only place to get it was from the US. I'm fairly I know the answer but I want to double check to be certain as I've never bought electronics in or from the US before. Is it just a simple matter of getting a power cord from another…

Is it just a simple matter of getting a power cord from another device or do I need to watch for something in particular? I know the port for the power cord looks just like any CD player, AppleTV etc.
