DAB Radio purchase help

Hi Folks

Looking to buy a radio as a gift for somebody in their kitchen,

Reading up on DAB, it appears not much use in Ireland is this correct ?

She would use the radio in her kitchen to listen to the local radio stations/national radio stations.

Would the below work fine or better off sticking to a traditional FM radio ?
Need to buy this at short notice, thanks for any help.

As far as I know DAB is being phased out, I have a DAB radio in the West and can get absolutely nothing on it I would buy a good FM radio.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it, I rang my local electrical shop yesterday and her first words to me when I asked about DAB radio was " oh they don't work too well around here "

I have opted for a decent FM radio instead.
