A tractor that age is going to have a few pipes here and there reaching the end of their life. I had a 7000 for years and parts were getting difficult to find so I traded it in.

If you can locate where it's leaking, check if something is rubbing against it. And once you take it off, it can be braised to stop the leak so it's not the end of the world and it's a cheap fix.

If it is leaking into the engine you'll probably have to put engine oil in the power steering. Lot's of info available on the fb page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1766220926972716/

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

My 4000 does that. 15w 40 is the finest of steering fluid.
