NCT query

Hi all, I'm trying to decipher my NCT report. Failed on a worn ball joint, that's crystal clear. However, he also said that there was a problem with my rear suspension although the report says PASS for suspension. He said that the numbers are very high and listed it as ADVISORY MAJOR? Reason: Mounting bracket or bush missing, loose, worn or damaged (both sides). Is this a suspension fail or is he advising that I get the rear shocks replaced? (It was a lift test, non-lift test done pre covid19)

    Figures for rear are: 133Mm........121Mm..........9%

    Thanks.

You can get advisory if they note worn suspension components, but if the car is still within tolerances it passes.
Bring it to a mechanic to lift it up and get clarification on what exactly is wrong, bring the sheet.

Usually for suspension components it's a good idea to change them in pairs so they balance each other.

Thanks for that. I had a good look and I see now what he meant. The rubber in the shock absorber mountings is knackered. So new shocks it is.
