Anyone know what the deal is with this? There’s an option to re-order at time of booking and the website says you can pre-book inflight menu items up to 48 hours before your flight. However there is no option to do it after you make your booking

Are inflight purchases suspended for the summer?

Can’t get an answer out of them on Twitter

“limited inflight service will be offered of pre-packaged snacks and drinks, but no cash sales.”

If you bring an empty water bottle there are free fountains airside to use (assuming they are still in use).

Are people not prepared or able to make up and pack their own sandwiches or rolls these days?

They can , I was talking specifically about liquids. Unless you measure sandwiches or rolls in ml

ok, a little pedantic there, obviously I was referring to the duty free shops and buying duty paid goods/drink. Is that clear?

Ah, you want to fly extra-EU from Ireland. You should have specified... In that case the list is slightly smaller: Switzerland, Ukraine, Morocco, Montenegro & Turkey.

I think Ryanair do a few UK routes as well.

well as a rule of thumb when on an Irish discussion site, people generally relate to Ireland as oppose to a global level.

Ah why bother, ryanair 'food' is rotten, along with the service most of the time :V

I literally only fly ryanair for the price.

The service is generally crap with narky attendants.

Flew Aer Lingus for once Last year when I went to Spain and couldn't believe how friendly the attendants were, asking did we want ice aswell with our drinks.

If I want food on a flight anyway I usually just get that meal deal in Boots, a sambo and crisps and a drink for a few euro. Bring it on board

Got a 'ham and cheese' toastie on board ryanair once, was rotten

I fly AL and Ryanair regularly and I have encountered good and bad on both tbf. Ryanair improved dramatically in recent years.

Regarding purchasing online, I agree for short flights but its a little trickier on longer flights when you want to keep hydrated or if people are travelling as families.

Or sometimes you just want some booze onboard to take the edge of flight anxiety! :D

With a limited service Does this mean the staff will shut the f*** up when you’re trying to sleep - ‘once again ladies and gentlemen, we have sandwiches and snacks on board.’ With the full hisotry of the sandwich to follow.
