Vertical Stands

Hey Everyone#

So I am thinking of a vertical stand to save space on my desk. I use an external monitor while editing so leaving the laptop closed is an option, I think

I have a HP Pavilion and was wondering if A) Its ok to stand vertically and if its ok to leave closed while powered on.

I understand some laptops will and wont be ok..
