Hi, I am planning to renovate and extend a 1980's bungalow and would like to create a 7 Metre opening in the back wall to open into the extension. I realise this is a large ope and am wondering if anyone here would have a ball park idea (nearest €1000 or so) of the cost of such a steel beam. It would be supporting a slated truss roof. Again I know it would need to be spec'd by an engineer but I just want to know if it is any way reasonable as it is integral to the design and it's back to the drawing board if it can't be done or is too expensive. Thanks in advance
