There is no "worst" season of The Sopranos. It was pure perfection. One of the best TV shows ever. Modern Shakespeare.

It would be difficult to even think of a "worst episode".

Flawless TV. Must watch it again soon.

The once a season dream episodes, were awful I used to dread when it got to one of them knowing I'd have to suffer through 60 minutes of pure tedium.

There wasn't a bad season, all seasons are top quality. I vote for Season 6.
The best is hands down Season 3.

This and also when Tony was out of action, there was more dreams to get through. Still my favourite show though and tempted to rewatch soon, especially with the Talking Sopranos podcast coming out every week.

Season 6 part one was a noticeable drop off. When they had episodes focusing on Vito moving out of New York/New Jersey for example.
But it seems like the writers/David Chase knew there were running out of steam and then finished the whole thing as well as could be expected, even though due to the nature of the show many/most of the characters we had grown up with had been killed off and I barely knew who some of the other characters were.

This is how the sopranos is better than the wire, no sopranos seasons are considered bad, but the wire arguably has bad season(s), for me the one at the docks wasn’t great.

First one.all the accents are even different. It was like they were trying to settle into the characters.

For those that don’t know, Chris and Bobby Bacala have a podcast which is really worth the listen. Talking Sopranos Is the name.

the one where Vito goes on the run for being a closet gay, we're suppose to believe that a ugly fat guy with a gammy hip is suppose to be some kind of gay stud

They were all great but there was a touch of silly season in some parts of the final season.

Carmela takes a trip to Paris that has absolutely nothing to do with the general story arc.

Chris takes a slightly daft trip to California for a few celebrity cameos.

The dream episode Tony has after being shot by Junior is all avant garde nonsense. I do fast fwd it any time I rewatch.

Aside from that a classic show.

OK, maybe some of the dream sequences were a bit iffy. I think they were overdone during Tony's coma, although I did like the idea of Kevin Finnerty. I'm pretty sure the writers or some film buffs could explain the importance of such scenes.

Some fantastic acting by James Gandolfini in some scenes after he'd wake up from a dream, covered in sweat and panting like a dog. He almost looked like he was going to die of a panic attack there and then.

On a side note, I've just finished watching Narcos for the first time, and Pablo Escobar is the only time I've ever felt any character grab me in the same way as Tony Soprano did.

The middle of season 6 is Mozart and Shakespeare rolled.into 1

Not going to vote in this as there is no worst series! :-)

Best TV show of all time hands down!

As mentioned by another poster, I strongly recommend the Talking Sopranos Podcast and also Poda Bing (another deep dive podcast) if you are a fan, great interviews and analysis of each episode.
