Iptables - a question

    Hi

Ive a router on a lan. Im using captive portal software which which fine and does everything I want - stops connections, redirects them to a portal page and off they go.

This particular portal is pretty easy to get round as you can just quit out of it. I dont want anyone accessing th internet through the router, except through the portal so Ive managed to redirect port 80 requests back to the port number for the portal easy enough when the user had quit out of it.

Being that you cant really redirect port 443 (as it normally be a dodgy tactic), how can I use ip tables to tell the router that anything going to port 443 needs to be rejected and then point to a different port?

I cant use .htaccess or anything like that as its read only firmware. Any ideas?
