Redunancy

    Hi,

    I am currently laid off my job due to COVID but I am receiving the 70% subsidy. Normally I believe you can claim redundancy after being laid off for 4 weeks but now redundancy has been banned until August.

    I currently have been offered another job, so my question is if I accept this job will I lose my redundancy or can I accept this job and then eventually claim redundancy from my previous company in August?

    Does your current contract allow you to take on a second job?

    IMHO if you have the offer of a job you should take it. There is no guarantee that redundancy will be allowed in August.

    Yes will take the job for sure just trying to figure out about the terms of redundancy. Not about the 2nd job in contract, will have to find out.
