What happened to Jay Ahern?

    Jay Ahern used to present an ambient music show on Sunday nights on Sunset FM during the first half of the 1990s. He used to be followed by Tim Hannigan with his dance show (more about him in a moment!).

    During the second half of the 1990s, as far as I know, Jay was involved with a station called SMR, or Shankill Music Radio.

    Jay ended up in the early '00s on 2FM with an alternative music show on Sunday nights. Tim Hannigan, his former colleague from Sunset, had already joined 2FM with his own dance show. He is still there, but is better known these days as Mr. Spring.

    Jay left 2FM in 2003, to be replaced by ex-Phantom deejay Dan Hegarty.

    So what happened to Jay Ahern after that and what is he doing these days?
