    Hi guys,

I booked a ferry Dublin to Cherbourg for the beginning of August.
No problem at all booking for a car with 4 people including driver and a kennel for a dog.

I'm wondering if anyone managed to travel already on Irish Ferries ships ?
Is there a lot of restricitions on the ship? Restaurants closed etc?

I'm just curious as what to expect, in fairness my travel is going to be after all the restricitions are lifted in Ireland.
I'm hoping we won't have to wear masks on board.

We'll all be wearing masks on all sorts of transport (Planes/Ferries/Busses) for quite some time

Ahh hate them masks, I can't breathe in them, feel like I'm loosing oxygen and it makes me feel sick. I guess I'll be stuck in cabin for the entire crossing if masks are mandatory.

Good thread, didn't think about. I'll have a read and see what people are sayin.
Thank you for that website with irish ferries, I was looking up on their website but didn't find anything like that. I guess I didn't look good enough.

Agree with you Damien! We are also off to France in August- can’t wait!
If masks are mandatory I will stay in cabin all the way. Pity as I paid for the club lounge.
If only people were as considerate to the guys who cannot wear them. I have lung cancer but I don’t wear it on my sleeve and have to put up with so much negativity, it makes me avoid the shops. Ah well - at least we can go to France:)

The one thing to be aware of is that you don’t need a full protection hospital mask (pp3 or whatever it’s called) which indeed is a pure hateful thing to wear , you need just a mouth and nose covering , so a cotton “mask” or even one of those light scarves that continental types wear will do.
