I may have to travel to Paris tomorrow, only way I can find is via Schipol.
from landing at schipol to take off again is 1hour 10 mins

I have never been there , does this seem too short a time to transfer?

    Thanks

I live in Abu Dhabi and I transfer through Schiphol when flying back to Dublin, a lot, with two kids under 2. You'll be grand, nice size airport

There's no security check, but you will need to go through an immigration check to enter the Schengen zone. I presume there won't be any queues!

It is super easy at AMS. Incoming from Dublin its just passport control

But likely there will be a fair amount of walking

Given the airport will be very very quiet, likely you will arrive early and have little or no problems getting through the airport quickly

Any concern find a connection station on the concourse, get the gate info and follow the signs

thank you all. google says its 40 mins, Schengen to Shengen, add a bit for us being non Schengen.
seemed a bit iffy, Airfrance/KLm said on their site if I missed it I would get the next one, that would be the following morning.

The price for both flights was 371euro (as part of a return trip)
when I checked the timetable for AMS to CDG, all four daily flights were more than 371 each

for my proposed return on Saturday , 200 euro to Dublin, 96 euro for two flights home via AMS!!

If you do by any misfortune get stuck there, I found it a good airport to be stuck in. Missed a KLM connection and had to stay overnight at airport hotel, it was made into a pleasure.

Amsterdam is the best airport in the world for connections in my experience. Not perfect but pretty much does things as best can be done. Connecting to France is a pain that's for sure.. Really suprised no direct flights. One hour ten is fine. I have connected in less than 5 mins flying from Bucharest to Ireland in the past.

    Really suprised no direct flights.

There are direct flight to CDG at the moment with Air France but there are flights every day except Tuesday which is the day the OP had to travel.
