    Hi

    Probably been asked a lot since lockdown but can anyone recommend somewhere online to order an office desk for monitor and keyboard. Nothing too fancy.

    The tricky part is it's a small space so needs to be about 100cm wide at most and I've looked on some of the main outlets and most are 120. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Flying Elephant's standard desks at 115, but they will customise them for you so might be able to accommodate 100cm easily enough. Also the desk is designed to be disassembled easily enough.

    I don't have one myself, but come recommended by others.

    They are based in Dublin, so supporting local.

    Some of these desks are less than 100cm and can be dismantled. https://ministryofmakers.ie/.

    Had one from IKEA was very good, 105cm wide MICKE desk €60

    https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/p/micke-desk-white-80213074/

    Later changed for a bigger hermnes but it was a great little desk, 5cm isint much so it might fit your location as its 105cm at the top, so if skirting boards are making it 100cm small then this desk would fit as the legs are less than the top in width,

    The hermnes desk can be saw in my thread here too;
    https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/80864-living-room-project/?do=findComment&comment=766329

    Had a local glass company make a toughened glass top for it; brought the top of the desk to them for measurement prior to assembling it; in order to get the glass to correspond with the hole in the desk,
    Was €115 for the glass top to fit the bigger hermnes desk and well worth it in my Opinion helps keep the desk like new especially if you drink coffee or have kids drawing pictures helps prevent any stains.

    Those website prices are ridiculously overpriced, A carpenter would make them for less then €50 in a day. I’ve this one, does the job https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/p/brusali-desk-white-40439763/

    Cheers everyone for the responses. Plenty of options there to look through that should suit.

    Fitting a desk lamp to a neighbouring wall also helps save space,
    Bought this one in ikea although it's the same price as the MICKE desk; it's great quality and has an integrated USB power socket, I purchased an osram soft light LED bulb for it in woodies for a further €10

    The problem I seem to be having with IKEA as some are listed as out of stock in Dublin but available for home delivery. Proceed to enter eircode and it says sorry delivery not available at this time. Frustrating. The flying elephant one looks nice and they will do it custom for 199 rather than the standard 149. I understand it's custom but paying 50 more to cut a bit off is a bit of a sickened I'm sure I could get someone to do that for me. The IKEA ones coming in at no more than 100 would probably suit if I could get them.

    Alot of IKEA shipping comes directly from the uk which doesn't make economic sense to me; but explains how an item can be in stock in store but unavailable for shipping as there both different sources of stock,
    Try adverts.ie for the MICKE desk; that's where I sold mine onwards for €20

    If theres a wall on both left and right side;
    You might consider building your own desk for around €40
    A 1" inch square 2 metre length of pine from woodies; cut it and screw to the wall on both left and right like dado rail
    Then a square sheet of pine for the top;
    Theres your desk, if it's only required temporary,
    Purchase wood saw, screws, holesaw, and spirt level all very cheap in Mr.price if you have a store local

    Only a wall on one side unfortunately. The MICKE looks ideal thought 105cm would work. Tried signing up to Ikea UK to see if they would deliver to Parcel Wizard but requires a UK phone number unfortunately.

    The fold out desk which I linked above; arrived today via UPS
    I've assembled and fitted it there it's a nice size and very sturdy,
    Plenty of space for a laptop and additional keyboard with mouse and an A4 notepad.

    A bit late, but for future reference, usually they want the phone number so that the courier can ask for directions if they get lost.

    You could give them Parcel Wizards/DPD phone number. I do for everything.

    The number is +44 28 9084 4090
