I am marooned in the countryside currently on lockdown whilst cocooning and I am thinking maybe to sell my own newer car to free up cashflow. The house I am currently staying in has a 400 metre private unpaved bohereen in from the public road, parts of the unpaved road are honestly better than the public road which is a patchwork quilt of potholes and sections of it didn't see resurfacing since the 1990's i'd reckon.

I was thinking something like a Toyota Rav4, Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, not concerned so much with fuel economy only it must be automatic and I would also need to be able to get commercial tax on it. I'm thinking something 10-15 years old and ideally don't want to spend big money on anything right now.

Don't even think about touching a Nissan Navara of that age. Most had a fatal flaw where the chassis quite literally snaps in half

A bit older >20 years but you can't go too far wrong with a Mk2 Pajero imo.
