Zoom Audio issues when charging HP Laptop

    Hi,
I am fairly tech savvy but I have an issues I can't resolve.

I have a HP laptop, less that 1 year old. When using zoom/hangouts the audio works perfectly when the laptop is not plugged in for charging. As soon as I plug it in the audio turns "robotic" with lots of lag. As soon as you unplug the laptop the issue resolves.

I have tried different power management settings with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

    probably need a replacement charger.

had a problem with a charger interfering with audio before

once it was replaced no issue anymore

    worth a shot.

the reason that I replaced the charger is because there were also intermittent issues with charging but it fixed the sound issue also - some sort of electrical interference effect on the the speakers / audio .

another option is to try use bluetooth speakers or headphones.

Sounds like current leakage or over voltage. Is it a genuine original charger? All metal case on the laptop?

    Original Charger, full metal case.

The only issue is with video conference. If I have the laptop plugged in and charging all other audio works fine.

if you can try another charger that is meant for the laptop do so.

as suggested also see if bluetooth headphones (with built-in speaker) make any difference.

If the charger power brick is connected to the wall cord with a figure of 8 connector, sometimes inserting it the other way can remedy the current leakage issue.

When charging does it feel tingly when you run your wrist over the case?
