Replacing a triton t90 and a red ring expression shower

    Rented house, 2 electric showers
A triton t90 in the en suite
A red ring expressions in main bathroom

Need to replace both. Don't wanna spend over €200 each on 2 t90 showers.
Just wondering if I could go with a cheaper alternative ( just wanna make sure they fit given tiling is already complete).

Was looking at other tritons on screwfix.ie.

    I'd appreciate any advice

These are all mains fed showers. They don't have any internal pump. This is why they are cheap. Mains pressure in most of ireland isn't good enough to run a mains fed shower trouble free. Because they come from Screwfix they will have no Irish warranty.

It's far better value to buy the two Triton T90sr silent showers imo. If you want a warranty only buy showers intended for the Irish Market. Even the Aqualisa showers that have a three years warranty don't have one if bought from Screwfix because they import them themselves. The Irish agent that offers the warranty doesn't give one on screwfix showers

Just double check which side the inlet pipe for the shower is on for the red ring. It may be the opposite side to a Mira or Triton.
My parents have a red ring expression shower in a rented house which had to be replaced about 10 years ago. We had to go with another red ring shower due to the position of the feed pipe. A Mira or triton would have offset the shower too much to the other side and look odd.
This was 10 years ago so may not be relevant anymore.

There is no longer any Redring pumped electric showers on the market. Your choice is Triton T90SR, Triton T900PI or a Mira Elite SE. Any decent installer will be able to replace the Redring with a Triton T9SR. Plumbing & electrics on opposite side isn't a deal breaker for a professional
