Royal Canal way - Liffey to Leixlip on road bike

    Hi

    Is the Royal Canal way from the start (near Dublin Port) to Leixlip suitable for a road bike?

    I read somewhere that sections of it are gravelly/gritty but that was a few years ago so not sure how it is at present
