Can anyone tell me, do I have to go to a main dealer to get a new battery in a key (08 Toyota Jazz)? Does any other kind of outlet do car key batteries?

If it's a standard key battery, you can buy packets in dealz or somewhere like that

Cheers! I then did the obvious thing of looking up 'changing a battery etc' on you tube and there it is, extremely simple. It never occurred to me you could just open a car key! Thanks :D

You will get one for €2 in your local motor shop

Its a handy little motor that has been going very nicely for 12 years with only annual servicing and has an interior big enough to get an entire fitted kitchen in, never mind the sink. Some of us are confident enough not to worry about being cool.

I wasn't making fun in any way I just have never heard of a Toyota Jazz? Are you sure its not a Honda?

Profuse appologies, I was wrong. It is indeed a Honda Jazz, I also have a Toyota and my brain confused them. Just having spent the day in A&E didn't help. Sorry for being sarky, you are right.
