    Hi
I was just wondering if anyone is aware of any soil fertility service companies for horticultural based activities in ireland?
Like people you can pay who will come and fertilise your soil with the correct nutrients for your crop?

You need to find out what's missing first and have your soil tested.
How big an area do you have?

I am a student myself and I am just interested in soil fertility.
I know there are plenty of companies in Ireland that will test your soil for you and tell you deficiency and other issues but are there any companies that actually will fertilize your soil for you ?

Theres lots, of contractors who will spread fertiliser for you but without knowing what you need you could be doing more harm than good

Tbh, that's not how it works here.

The person working the land decides to test the land to find the pH, P and K levels of the soil.

If any deficiencies show up, that person decides which areas to tackle first, normally the pH, and then sets a plan in place to rebuild the fertility of the rest over a number of years.

Some soils will be at an optimum level in a short period while others could need 10 or more years to build their fertility to an acceptable level.

And different crops grown would need different pH levels, P and K levels for an optimum response.
