Hi I was just wondering is it possible to transfer from aircraft maintenance into the aircraft leasing sector, is there a certain time period you must be working in the maintenance field? Aircraft leasing sector looks interesting but I just can't seem to find answers

The aircraft leasing industry is basically made up of marketing, finance, legal and technical people most of the people on the technical side will have come from aircraft maintenance side of the industry and a number of graduates from university. There are often vacancies for technical people advertised although probably not at the moment. You can also sign up for a certificate or diploma in aircraft finance and leasing which gives a good insight into the industry and also handy to have on your CV if you decide to go that way.
