No, the Samsung TV will be Tizen not Android.

Thanks, any recommendations for a android device I could use instead, one with a media player and storage?

    Storage?
You can get an Amazon Fire Stick or Mibox S. You can add usb storage to a Mibox or either can use network storage. Does your router have a usb port and the option to add storage?

Ya router has USB, I have an extra external hard drive, I could use that with a android box. Not sure which brand to get.

Android boxes, just either get a Nvidia shield or mi box tbh.

Or a firestick (especially the 4k model) is a deadly little device for the money.

Yep, have one myself, but if the budget is tight, or just dipping a toe in the water a firestick will be a great first device too.

No doubt about it though, it's (Nvidia shield) the only electronic device I own that should something happen if tomorrow, I'd have it replaced the following day!
