Searching ongoing court cases or pending court cases?

In a nearby town, a number of years ago a young female driver hit a man at a pedestrian crossing whilst speeding through a red light. I don't want to discuss any details in too much detail in case proceedings are ongoing.

The man died of his injuries.

I have not yet seen any court cases still. Could it be the case that the man's family forgave the girl or will it have to go to court regardless?

I tried searching court archives but had no luck.
In searched the name of the town it happened, search terms like dangerous driving etc but can't find anything.

It is grossly unfair if she gets away with this

Doing a general web search for the victim and/or drivers names and "crash" may be useful.

    Search for

    "Joe Bloggs"

    instead of

    Joe Bloggs.

    Her name was never published.

Only the crash victim's name was.

    This happened early last year.

Do they not publish names before trials commence?

    The court case would be

    Her vs DPP
    or
    Her vs the man's family?

    Her name was never published.

Try searching for the victim's name and "crash". then.

I did. It just brings up news reports from the time. No court cases.

Is there a chance she got away with it?
She was apparently "suicidal" around the event.

Whether the family forgave the girl or not is irrelevant.

Who knows? Perhaps there was a court case but it didn't make the newspapers because something more exciting crowded it out. Perhaps a prosecution did not proceed because there was a problem with evidence, or because it became clear that she had a cast-iron defence. Perhaps she became so suicidal that she actually committed suicide. Perhaps lots of things.

Only way to find out for certain if there was a prosecution and, if so, what the outcome was is to ask the guards. And the likely response will be, what business is it of yours? Or you could ask the family of the victim, if you know them. Or the woman herself, if you know her.

Well first of all why would you be so nosey, if its nothing to do with you?

Also how can you say "suicidal" do you know her psychiatric issues. Maybe she did have manic episode!? Where you there to document her mental state?
Most likely court hasn't happened, because of her mental issues.
Please don't downplay mental issues, this is why so many young people die each year.

It's a public prosecution. Everyone in the state is entitled to know.

The DPP may have directed no charges be preferred in which case there may not be a prosecution
