    What's a GDPR consultant?

    Someone who provides:

Advice on data protection breaches and representation with the Data Protection Commissioner.

Data protection impact assessment to minimise high risk sensitive data in line with GDPR regulations.

Data transfer regulations including web pages and how to remain compliant.

Advice on data retention and privacy policies.

    Data protection training for staff.

    Compliance regarding new data software.

Assistance with data access and data portability requests.

Re-editing company manuals regarding data breaches and GPDR procedures.

Advice and consultancy on all aspects of data protection legislation.

    What's a GDPR consultant?

It is a money spinner for DPO's.
Great way to make additional income, hard to get appropriate insurance for though.

As whilst there are some qualified legal practioners offering such services, quite a lot of people with unrelated degrees and some practical experience or CPD are offering services doing this.

At the OP I can't recommend any services up your way, but it's a query I'd run by your solicitor.
Even with in-house counsel to level of disagreement between DPO and counsel as to what constitutes compliance can be quite broad.

I'd tend to side with counsel in advice offered, and that is with some years of DP and GDPR specific experience behind me.
