Have 3 calves on a test bucket at the minute and was hoping to try them on ad lib cold milk and was wondering has anyone on here made some sort of a home made feeder for the job or is ad lib feeding looking for trouble? There good calves and would hate to see them go back

You can get teats to mount on an ordinary board with tubes going into a barrel or bucket of milk and those would be available in most dairy hardware shops, I imagine?

Ad lib feeding is no issue but one of the tricks is to keep the milk agitated so that no calf gets a sickening a belly full of cream.
They'll thrive better being fed warm milk with acidifier, to appetite or close, twice a day than cold ad lib anyway.

Quite simple setup will work but hygiene is important.

I scrapped the ad lib idea. Went with the warm milk twice a day and there flying on it
