Honda Insight 2011 CVT fluid

    Hi all,

    looking to change the CVT fluid in my 2011 honda insight 1.3 hybrid. Does anybody know the name of the fluid required?

    Looking online it is hard to find a definitive answer on what i need to get and also finding it in ireland. The honda branded fluid seems to be mentioned alot on the US sites but i dont see anywhere here that I can get it,. I haven't called honda yet, I will do that.

    I see Castrol Transmax CVT listed as a compatible oil but dont see anywhere that stocks it.

    Anybody got any advice?

    Cox Motor Parts in the UK have it. They ask for your VIN to make sure it is the right one for your car.

    As far as I know they ship internationally, but not sure what that costs to Ireland...

    65 euro including shipping from the UK. Not too bad considering how hard it is to find good info. Should be about 40 euro if if I could find somewhere here that actually sells it or something that is compatible!

    Des D'arcy in swords keeps a few gallons in stock all the time, its where i get mine.
